Worry+Peace is an independent digital insurance broker, we're building an amazing team for the future with various FCA permissions. This role is a genuine career opportunity to be one of the first new team members to help forge a new kind of customer service for insurance shoppers.

Predominantly a Commercial Insurance role, you'll be tasked with helping us grow our exciting Commercial Practice locally around our HQ in Bucks (and beyond!).

We'll expect you to unleash your creativity and make our office even more of a positive environment that's full of energy, ideas and people that don't except "it can't be done" as an answer.

What you’ll be up to:

  • Work with the Founder, James York and distribution partners to understand the clients’ business and risk management needs and look for a range of choice and solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing non-advisory service.
  • Provide technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required, non-advised in nature.
  • Liaise with underwriting colleagues, wholesale teams, distribution partners, client advocates and clients to build strong relationships.
  • Responsibility for supporting the drive of the sales process and business area practice activity in relation to winning, retaining and developing profitable new clients.
  • Develop, or work with management to cultivate and maintain a pipeline of prospects including research, initiation of contact, meetings, responding to RFPs and new business presentations.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant products and services offered by Worry+Peace.
  • Source possible solutions, structure, price and placement strategies that meet the clients’ needs and deliver profitable, growth-orientated business for a range of clients.
  • Communicate effectively with the customers, client advocates, associates, markets and others to maximise services delivery levels.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to new business opportunities within a brand standard service covenant.
  • Work closely and maintain relationships with key market contacts as required.
  • Deliver optimisation of our Commercial Practice employing intelligent and customer-centric placement strategies.
  • Deliver high levels of client service across a range of tools, applications and platforms.

  • Solid experience ideally in client service and processing of accounts.
  • Managed a team or unit.
  • Knowledge of London and International market.
  • Progress towards CII, similar or equivalent.
  • Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Good technical skills.
  • Good presentation abilities.
  • Ability to assimilate large volumes of information and progress to market solution, rapidly.
  • Negotiation skills coupled with the ability to be flexible and innovative.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Able to prioritise, manage deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Comfortable explaining complex concepts and considerations without making recommendations to clients/client servicing teams.
  • Must be prepared to work with integrity and openness, complying at all times with FCA requirements.
  • Good IT skills with strong Excel usage capability.
