Customer Support Representative

Part Time Role

Worry+Peace is an independent digital insurance broker, we're building an amazing team for the future with various FCA permissions. This role is a genuine career opportunity to be one of the first new team members to help forge a new kind of customer service for insurance shoppers.

We're looking for someone to support our customer support team, help us engage with our thousands of customers and meet all their insurance service needs.

We'll expect you to unleash your positivity and make our office even more of a positive environment that's full of energy, ideas and people that don't except "it can't be done" as an answer.

What you’ll be up to:

  • Monitor and manage multiple customer channels, including inbound, outbound, livechat, Social Media and our own application, Pouch.
  • Report internally to the two key board members, team and other stakeholders, such as insurers and partners
  • Cultivate relationships and opportunities to progress the business
  • Analyse and appraise unmet customer needs to aid the quality of our overall service provision.
  • Liaise with technical / support / broking staff to ensure a joined-up service throughout our process.
  • Ensure the requirements of external legislation and regulations (e.g. insurance mediation regulations and Lloyd’s, anti-bribery, anti-terrorism, anti-money laundering, proceeds of crime, data protection and health & safety legislation), best practice and other general business compliance within our customer service.
  • Promote Worry + Peace brand and values to enhance our reputation in the market, economy and community.
  • Maintain the operating and performance standards of the support social and brand activities
  • Perform ad hoc and reactive tasks per the request of line managers.

Why you’re awesome:

  • Preferably some retail, customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of the insurance industry is not essential, we do not want “that way” of doing things – but it would be preferable if you had some related industry experience such as Financial Services
  • Good level of proficiency and confidence in software systems relevant to task, including word processing tools and email clients
  • Touch type or near touch type keyboard skills
  • Able to engage with customers in a well-mannered and polite fashuon
  • Desire to learn and improve – bundles of initiative

  • An appropriate qualification such as Cert CII
  • Appropriate knowledge of relevant markets used, e.g. Lloyd’s of London, London or Overseas.
  • Skills with social media management or related digital trades.
