Unmanaged Listings

We really will be able to answer any insurance question...

Announcing the pending pre-launch release of Unmanaged Listings. Listings for our search that we load and curate - which can be “claimed” by the featured brands at any time.

When we began, we knew our platform terms would appeal to people. Since we partnered with BIBA in March, we’ve seen a surge in onboarding - with providers covering, or in the process of covering, about 300 products! Stunning - especially for a solo artist founder (don’t call me a one-man-band...)

Remember what we are?

A free insurance account where you meet providers on your terms.

Search and follow insurance providers; stash quotes or purchases with a free mailbox and wallet.

Thanks: The Stocks - you rule.

I always knew that hosting and onboarding a provider for every single choice across 770 products could mean some searches, for a given period of time, wouldn’t have any or as many choices in them. There’s only so much time to demo and onboard - speed is the key. We’re building a multi-sided platform - this takes time!

My focus is on creating a good user experience - and if a buyer comes to Worry+Peace looking for something we don’t have, they are going to be hard to inspire to return. It behooves us to ensure we have answers.

We also have an obligation to those providers who’ve early-adopted our platform! Some of which are paying subscribers - which is incredibly supportive and shows the depth of feeling that insurance distribution is broken and our model is needed! I’m proud of that. So I won’t let any of them down, either, by not having a full inventory of 770 products.

Unmanaged listings are the logical step

We will be scouring the insurance economy for potential listings and adding them ourselves. Unmanaged listings will rank “below” managed listings and be tagged as such - “unmanaged” (with a little picture of a bot next to them…) Buyers will still be able to use some filters we’re deploying - and existing providers won’t ever be penalised for joining us as we launch. It’s a win-win.

Buyers can click on that to find out what it means and entails. Providers can click on that to find out how they can claim control of their listings. This is not a new concept, either - it’s something TripAdvisor have made incredibly effective use of.

Adding a product takes seconds - so it's not high labour. But we will be looking to integrate smart ways to get the content we need. Let's leave that, for now.

We won't be making comments on provider quality. We won't be using logos of providers without permission. We'll simply be tagging them into a new basic listing for a product they offer. Buyers will also be able to submit a provider URL for us to consider...

Unmanaged providers can be followed and much more - to unlock great buyer-side search features. More to follow on that.

Our criteria for choosing listing destinations will include:

  • Suitably Authorised by the FCA (mandatory)
  • Awards winners past, present.
  • Credible reviews from industry authorities
  • Credible ratings from industry institutions
  • Buyer recommendation

For us, it solves both our pending obligations. Firstly, it means we’ll be able to curate and answer more insurance questions than ANY other platform on the internet (you’re thinking Big Search - but bear in mind - we help you stash and follow, too!). Secondly, we don’t have to consider how much more inventory needs onboarding before we begin scaling traffic.

Why shouldn't buyers on our platform be able to search, stash and follow any provider they like? This is for them - not just about helping providers reduce their vast marketing expense. Let's focus on the problem....

I’m really excited - this combined with our Pages, Searchstore (and the third, final reveal) will create a suite of incredible tactics to manage the creation of the best place to find insurance on the internet.

If you want full control of your provider profile, products and page - control starts for FREE. Onboard now, or book a demo. If you’re a good egg of a brand? We’ll find you. You just won’t appear above those who have adopted our amazing model right now….

Sounds fair. Is fair. Will be great for buyers.

Unmanaged listings will begin to appear on our site before our beta officially ends.
